Florida's real estate rebound led the nation.  According to Jonathan Smoke, chief economist at Realtor.com, "Florida is positioned to become one of the hottest spots in the country with rising demand, positive gains in recovery, really good fundamentals, and positive momentum".

  • Job growth and low mortgage rates fueled the recovery, while the relatively low supply of homes for sale coupled with a high demand has raised prices.
  • Nationally, rents are rising faster than sales prices.  It is now more expensive to rent than own in    77 % of counties in the U.S.
  • Wallethub.com recently named Florida the best place to retire in the U.S. based on affordability, quality of life and healthcare.
